چکیده
Abstract Background Although heart failure (HF) is one of the most common conditions affecting heart, little attention has been placed on role arteries in contributing to progression this disease. Purpose We sought determine hemodynamic change HF patients subdivided according left ventricular ejection fraction. The major goal was establish active compensatory Methods Using sphygmography, we systematically studied a cohort 228 and 52 healthy controls. focused carotid as main elastic artery posterior tibial muscular (Figure 1). Moreover, categorized three groups, HFrEF, HFmrEF, HFpEF, into two subgroups (A B) presence or absence signs at baseline. Results discovered that all parameters measured arterial kinetics, i.e., work, power, acceleration, speed, were significantly increased (p<0.001 by one-way ANOVA) groups without signs. In contrast, kinetics reduced (p<0.001) exhibiting Similar results obtained both types consistently observed across different HF, although with some differences magnitude. Finally, HFpEF exhibited more compromised function vis-à-vis HFrEF 2: Patients Disposition (Top) Quantification (Down) from [A] [B]). Conclusions provide first documentation an during HF. CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE IN CHILDREN: A SURVEY OF 114 PATIENTS
During a period of four years between June, IS, 1988 to June, IS, 1992 one hundred and fourteen patients with congestive heart failure (CHF) were admitted to the pediatric department of Taleghani General Hospital. During the above period, 192 patients with heart disease were hospitalized at this department and CHF was the cause of admission in 59.4% of them. Congenital heart disease (CHO) w...
متن کاملChanges in the structure of the heart and blood pressure after a period of concurrent endurance-resistance training in patients with chronic heart failure
Background: Exercise improves functional capacity by improving endothelial function and musculoskeletal aerobic metabolism, but its effects on hemodynamic control are not well known. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of aerobic and resistance trainings on structural changes and blood pressure in patients with heart failure. Materials and methods: 76 patients aged 65 to 79 year...
متن کاملThe Prevalence of Anemia in Elderly With Systolic Heart Failure
Objectives: Anemia is prevalent in heart failures and is an independent risk factor for adverse clinical outcomes in patients with CHF. The aim of the present study was to determine the prevalence of anemia in elderly with systolic heart failure hospitalized in Alborz Hospital of Karaj in 2009. Methods & Materials: This is a descriptive retrospective study that reviewed 154 medical records o...
متن کاملRenal Denervation in Heart Failure: A New Therapeutic Paradigm
Heart failure constitutes a significant source of morbidity and mortality in the United States, and its incidence and prevalence continue to grow, increasing its burden on the health care system. Renal dysfunction in patients with heart failure is common and has been associated with adverse clinical outcomes. This complex interaction is characterized by a pathophysiological disequilibrium betwe...
متن کاملSacubitril/valsartan: a New Paradigm in Heart Failure
Heart failure (HF) is a syndrome whose cardinal symptoms are dyspnea and fatigue leading to a progressive decrease in exercise capacity. Drugs currently used include angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitors, angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB), diuretics, alone or in combination, and in the cases where indicated, digoxin. Sacubitril/valsartan represents a new approach to treatment since the dru...
